The Housing Authority of the County of Salt Lake’s mission is to provide and develop quality, affordable housing opportunities for individuals and families while promoting self-sufficiency and neighborhood revitalization. Last year, HACSL achieved its mission by providing more than 3,400 low-income households with access to safe, affordable housing and a variety of supportive services programs.
HACSL's ability to serve low-income households is a direct result of partnerships. In particular, through its partnership with Salt Lake County, the Housing Authority of the County of Salt Lake provides more than 800 low-income households with access to housing and/or supportive services, including:
· On-site case management to disabled individuals
· On-site case management to formerly homeless individuals
· Employment assistance to families
· Rental assistance to homeless households and households at high-risk of homelessness
· Outreach/Case management designed to help households retain their rental assistance
· Youth-centered substance abuse prevention programs
· Parent-centered substance abuse prevention program
